MUNDAY - The next dance competition for The Movement Space dancers is in Lubbock on Friday and Saturday, Apr.19 - 20 at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Theater. The Movement Space company dancers of eight dancers on the junior dance team will compete against 10 teams from the Texas area in the Dance Showcase USA category in both group dances and solos.

CHILDRESS – In-house seal coat operations will begin in the Childress District beginning Monday, April 15. Various Farm-to-Market roadways in twelve counties are included in this year’s project.

Pontius Pilate, who hesitantly approved the execution of Jesus; Barabbas, the murderer Jesus replaced on the cross; the Centurion who pierced his side, spilling the blood of Christ; and Joseph of Arimathea, who supplied the tomb for Jesus were all caught up in events beyond their control.

BENJAMIN – Jerry Bob Daniels addressed the Commissioners' Court during the regular monthly session on Apr. 8 regarding ownership of two lots in Truscott. A relative of Daniels’ has a small building on a lot that it appeared the county owned. Daniels had conflicting information from a map that was different than the map the county referenced. Judge Wojcik assured Daniels the county is willing to work out an agreement acceptable for both the county and Daniels, possibly trading nearby lots if necessary.

KNOX COUNTY – The total eclipse crossed Texas on Apr. 8 and brought out crowds all over the state and other areas of the country to view the eclipse as it continued across the USA.

This definition of a Trustee is from the firm of Eichelbaum Wardell Hansen Powell & Munoz, P.C. as supplied to the candidates by Supt. Parton: “Generally, a trustee of any kind has the responsibility to take care of something — usually money or other assets — for the benefit of another, the true owner of the assets (the beneficiary). Therefore, all of the trustee’s decisions are driven by what is best for the owner: What will maximize the return to the owner? What will be in the best interest of the owner?
