BENJAMIN – A male and female broke into a residence a few miles east of Benjamin on Jan. 27. They fled on foot when discovered and the manhunt began.Multiplelawenforcement officers cooperated to track down the suspects.

KNOX COUNTY – From Kent Smith at the Foard County News in Crowell - Smith wrote that on Friday, Jan. 26, Crowell law enforcement was notified of a high-speed pursuit headed to Crowell from Paducah. The Crowell officers headed out that way but were unable to stop the vehicle. The pursuit continued on towards Crowell. It came through Crowell at a speed that appeared to be over 100 miles per hour and continued towards Thalia.

KNOX COUNTY – The Republican Party of Texas released the 2024 Republican Primary Ballot Propositions in December 2023. The 13 ballot propositions include questions on eliminating property taxes, border security, benefits to illegal aliens, amnesty, protecting the Texas national Guard, a Texas Bullion Depository, vaccine consent, closed primaries, election integrity, school choice, and ownership of Texas land by hostile foreign entities.
