Severiano L. Hernandez, a longtime resident of Knox City, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022. A graveside service was held Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, at the Knox City Cemetery with Father Francis Chinthamalla officiating, under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Helen Francelle Echols,89, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2022. Funeral services were held at Smith Family Funeral Homes in Throckmorton on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022 with Rev. Melissa Hudson officiating. Burial followed the service at the Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Timmy (Tim) Joe Jones joined the Kingdom of Heaven on Nov. 22, 2022. Tim blessed this earth with his presence for 76 years. He was born June 6, 1946 in Stamford. He was the second of three sons of Elvin “Windy” Jones and Dee Iva Starritt Jones. Tim was raised on ranches in King and S tonewall Counties where his dad worked, including the South Camp of the 6666 Ranch and the Baptist Foundation of the Moorhouse Ranch in northeast Stonewall County.

John (Johnny) R. Peysen, Jr.,74, passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2022. A graveside service was held Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022, at the Knox City Cemetery with Rev. Gary Schnable officiating, under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Kenneth Patterson Coach Ken Patterson, age 86, was freed from everything that hinders on Wednesday morning, Nov. 9, 2022, having run the race with perseverance and having fixed his eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of faith.
