Charles W. “Rastus” Pack, 88, a lifetime resident of Knox City, passed away Monday, Oct. 11, 2021. A graveside service was held Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, at the Knox City Cemetery with Pastor Curtis Schader officiating, under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Charles was born Aug. 7, 1933 in Knox County, to Ida (Hodges) Pack and Willis Pack. He worked as a plant superintendent at Occidental Petro Corp. for 32 years, which took him to many different places. After retiring, he worked as an auctioneer. He was a Master Mason and a member of Orient Lodge # 905 in Knox City. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Knox City. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying. Charles was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Lula Bell Pack of Knox City; daughter Pamela Pack of Lubbock; niece Patti Lain Currie of Abilene; nephews Aaron Lewis and spouse Julie of Burkburnett and Brandon Lewis of Knox City.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ida and Willis Pack, and sister Dorothy Dykes.
