THE MANY FACETS OF COACH DON HASKINS In addition to trophies being displayed there are various items of memorabilia within a second case as visitors enter the gym. Known as The Bear, Haskins coached high school football, girls basketball and boys basketball. Outlined throughout the display is the coach’s amazing history and legacy.

ANUPLIFTINGANDEMOTIONALREMINISCENCE Nevil Shed got emotional as he spoke fondly of his former coach, Don Haskins. He told stories of past experiences and valuable life lessons that he gleaned from his time spent with The Bear.
