Deadline approaching to file for city elections

Body KNOX COUNTY – The deadline to file to be on the ballot for city elections is approaching fast. The last day to file an application is next Friday, Feb. 17 for the elections slated for May 6. In Munday, the application may be picked up at City Hall between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

January rainfall still below average

Body KNOX COUNTY Brandon Carr, Manager at the USDA-NRCS James E. “Bud” Smith Plant Materials Center northwest of Knox City reported 0.78 inches of precipitation was received in January. “That is slightly more than the 0.43 inches we received last January,” said Carr.
