Body As I’ve written in three previous columns about encounters with a famous person, everyone has had a brush with a celebrity, be it a TV star, a movie actor, sports star, musician, politician or some other famous person.

Munday to focus on infrastructure in 2023

Body MUNDAY – In the regular scheduled City Council meeting on Dec. 13, City Manager David Trevino outlined the plans for 2023. “Improving the infrastructure is the focus,”said Trevino. “Most projects will be paid for with grants.” One item in the plan is to improve streets.

Benjamin continues Knox County winning tradition

Body KNOX COUNTY – The Benjamin Mustangs carried on the winning tradition of Knox County football teams by winning the 6-Man Division 2 State Football Championship on Dec. 14 in the AT&T stadium, beating the Loraine Bulldogs by a score of 68 – 20.
Munday Elementary School hosted the District 16A UIL Academic Meet competition on Dec. 7. Seven schools competed in the meet. Munday won the meet with 646.67 points.
