Body KNOX CITY 3rd of JulyKNOX CITY Knox City Police Dept. and the Knox City Neighborhood Watch program will present the fourth annual 3rd of July Festival at Greyhound Stadium. Gates open at 3 p.m. Admission is free, donations are welcomed.

Body The Munday City County Library Summer Reading program has begun. The theme this year is “Game On!”. The book they read was “The Worst Summer Book in the History of the World” by Joey Acker. They went over the reading rules for the program.

Flash flooding in Knox City impedes traffic

Body Several roadways in Knox City were flooded following a thunderstorm on Friday evening, June 27.The city saw around an inch and a half of rain in a very short amount of time, causing much of the water to be “run-off”, accumulating in low areas including roadways and intersections.

KC-O’B’s Howeth named Superintendent of the Year

Body Colin Howeth of Knox City–O’Brien CISD has been named the 2025 Region 9 Superintendent of the Year. Howeth has served Knox City faithfully for 25 years, seven of those years as superintendent.Howeth graduated high school at Paint Creek, just outside of Haskell.
