The Munday Moguls traveled to Goldthwaite on Friday, AUgust 19th to scrimmage Eagles. Coach Webb Murphy, who is in his first ever Head Coach position leading the Moguls, had many positive remarks about their scrimmage against the Eagles. He said overall, the scrimmage went very well and their athletes came out healthy and having gained some field experience. Murphy said, “Coach Howard & his staff at Goldthwaite do a great job, so we knew it would be very competitive. I’m really proud of our players!”
The Moguls continue to improve under the direction of Murphy and staff members Adrian Daniel, who is in his 5th year at Munday CISD and returner Cory Stephenson, who is beginning year 14 as a Mogul. Munday also added Coach Seth Summers and Munday’s current Ag Science teacher, Jason Evans, to their coaching staff. The Mogul staff, as a whole, is very excited to be a part of the growth happening in the Mogul Football program.
As a Munday graduate, I am speaking from experience here. I know how deep tradition in Munday runs and I know how close-knit the community is. With this year being a Homecoming year, I know the entire town of Munday is excited to see some growth and improvement among the boys’ program.
