Circus coming to Crosbyton April 8 CROSBYTON—The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus will be in Crosbyton on Monday, April 8 for two performances at 5:00 and 7:30 p.m. The circus will be located one block west of the swimming pool.

The April 8, 2024, total solar eclipse will begin in the South Pacific and cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. Weather permitting, the first location in continental North America that will experience totality is Mexico’s Pacific coast around 11:07 a.m. PDT.

Meet Bobby Harrimon, candidate for Munday school board

MUNDAY - I’m Bobby Harrimon and I’m running for a position on the Munday CISD School Board. I moved to Munday in 2011 and it’s been home ever since. My wife Bianca and I have 4 children, Andrew 14 years old, Haven 12 years old, Titan 9 years old and Baylor 7 years old. Over the span of 10 Years I have volunteered in many roles within the community: I serve as the Youth Pastor of First Methodist Church of Munday, I have served in this position for 8 years. I have served on numerous committees within the church.

MUNDAY – Incumbent Trey Singleton is running for the single 1 year (unexpired) term on the City Council against opponent Joyce Sanders. In communication with the News-Courier, Singleton stated “I moved to Munday in 2011 and have worked for Munday CISD since then as Director of Bands from 2011 to 2022.

WILDFIRES UPDATE

AMARILLO—Three regional Farm Credit System organizations have led the way in responding to recent devastating wildfire outbreaks impacting much of the Texas Panhandle and parts of Oklahoma. Panhandle regional organizations AgTexas Farm Credit, Capital Farm Credit, and Plains Land Bank serve the area most directly impacted by the regional disaster, and they partnered with the Farm Credit Bank of Texas and other Farm Credit System organizations to contribute funds to support extensive recovery and relief efforts.

Rodeo delayed, Munday VFD to host fundraising dance

MUNDAY – The Munday Volunteer Fire Department announced that due to weather delays, the construction on the new rodeo arena will not be completed in time for the annual Knox Prairie Ranch Rodeo in April, so the VFD will host a fundraising dance in lieu of the rodeo.
