KNOX CITY – The Knox City Volunteer Fire Department at 102 South Central in Knox City has served Knox City and surrounding areas for 100 years. Formed in January, 1924, the VFD began with one flatbed truck and some water hose and has grown to be the well-equipped, wellstaffed fire department it is today.
