KNOX COUNTY – The February calendar of events in the county boasts a busy month of local, national, and international events. Some of the events have already occurred this month and some are still to come.

UIL releases reclassification and realignment information

AUSTIN—The biennial University Interscholastic League reclassification and realignment for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 school years was released by the University Interscholastic League Thursday. The new alignments, established by enrollment figures submitted to the UIL by its member schools in October, will serve as the football and basketball districts for the next two school years.

KNOX COUNTY – The Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday, February 11, for the 58th Super Bowl. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The game will air on CBS and stream live on Paramount+.

KNOX CITY – Recent data from the Texas Department of State Health Services underscores the persistent threat of heart disease as the leading cause of death in the state, constituting approximately 23 percent of all fatalities. As the nation observes American Heart Month this February, Knox County Hospital District aims to intensify efforts in raising awareness about the critical importance of cardiovascular health.

Three teachers at Munday CISD receive degrees
