Munday donated city property for rodeo grounds

MUNDAY – The City Council met in regular session on Dec. 12 and one of the first actions was to donate to the Volunteer Fire Department a property owned by the city. This property is a railroad right-of-way in the area where the new arena is being built. The property was acquired by the city after the railroad closed that rail line. This action was necessary to the project to construct the new rodeo arena could continue. The project is on schedule so far to be ready for the first event planned for April 2024.

Wayne and Brenda Speers visit Munday

MUNDAY – Former Church of Christ Ministers in Munday, Wayne and Brenda Speers returned last week for a brief visit with friends and church members. The Speers are currently staying in South Texas near family and are scheduled to return to Albania at the end of January 2024. They have worked in Albania for the last four years.

State sales tax revenue totaled $4.1 billion in November
