Body Karen Longan, mayor pro tem of Munday, was unanimously appointed mayor at a special called meeting of the Munday city council on Wednesday, March 18. Longan was appointed to replace Chris Baker, who resigned the position in mid-March after being elected less than a year ago.

Body AUSTIN— Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock today said state sales tax revenue totaled $4 billion in February, 3.8 percent more than in February 2025. The majority of February sales tax revenue is based on sales made in January and remitted to the agency in February.
