Houndettes earn gold ball

Body The last time the Knox City Houndettes program earned a coveted Gold Championship Ball was almost a decade ago. The Houndettes Volleyball team broke that dry spell on Monday morning in Rotan.

Munday drops bi-district volleyball match after convincing first-set win

Body Forget any election night drama. Tuesday night the real excitement was in Rotan, Texas, where the Munday Lady Mogulettes and the Rotan Lady Hammers battled for a bi-district trophy instead of electoral votes.

It’s drama as district race comes down to the wire

Body The last week of the regular season will not be without drama.Knox City dropped a 4842 District 6-1A Division I six-man decision to Perrin-Whit on Thursday, creating numerous postseason scenarios going into this week’s finales.

Body THERE IS ALWAYS NEXT YEAR The Munday Purple Cloud Band and their directors earned a 1 at the Region 7 Marching Contest in Wichita Falls. Unfortunately, this year the band did not advance to state.

Greyhounds keep sprinting in district win over Bryson

Body As the regular season winds down, Knox City continues to find its stride.The Greyhounds put together another snappy performance last weekend, rolling to a 30-8 lead at halftime and coasting to a 56-24 District 6-1A six-man Division I victory against Bryson.
KC RUNNER HEADS TO STATE XC MEET Knox City Greyhound Izaiah Trevino finished in 12th place overall at the Regional Cross Country Meet and qualified for State as an individual.The KC boys team finished 7th in team totals. No information available at press time for the Knox City girls. | LACI BOWMAN
