Body Knox City weathered its fiercest storm this season last week as the Greyhounds held off Valley, ran their record to 9-0 and moved a step closer to securing the district championship.

Body THE KCHS GREYHOUNDS football team travelled to Vernon Northside Friday to face the Indians. The Greyhounds took the win 62 to 0 with the game called at the half due to the 45-point Mercy Rule. This week the Hounds travel to Valley which will determine playoff seeding.

Body With last week’s three-set wins over district opponents Crowell and Munday, Benjamin will now turn its attention to making another run for the UIL State volleyball tournament. Post-season play begins the week of Oct. 30–Nov. 3, with all three Knox County teams advancing.

Body KNOX CITY – The Knox City Country Club hosted the Guys and Dolls Golf Tournament on Oct. 7. The weather cooperated and the club had a good turnout. Results for the Championship Flight: 1st – Marci Maloney and Curtis Schrader shooting 64.

Body Benjamin traveled to Paducah Saturday for their volleyball match and promptly took care of business. Coach CodyPropps’s#4-ranked1-A team took three straight sets overthePaducahLadyDragons to move to 4-0 in district play and 31-6 on the season.
