O’Brien Middle School basketball comes to an end

Body The O’Brien Middle School girls’ and boys’ basketball season closed on Monday, February 6, 2023 as they hosted Crowell in a non-district matchup. 8th graders Bailey Espinosa and Grayson Utley picked up 4 points apiece, while 7th grader, Lexi Abila, added 4 more.

Body Two Knox County athletes have worked hard to earn 1,000 plus career points on the basketball court. Bryson Wilson, a Munday senior, and Grayson Rigdon, a familiar name and Benjamin Sophomore, were both added to the 1,000 Point Club this past week.

White Commits to Hardin-Simmons University

Body Brody White, a senior at Benjamin, has signed his National Letter of Intent to play football at Hardin-Simmons University in the fall. White was a member of the 2022 6-Man Division I State Championship team,where he was also named the All-State Defensive Player of theYear.

Body In a night of basketball on Monday, January 23, 2023 at “The Box”, the Benjamin Lady Stangs and Mustangs battled district opponent Harrold. Both the girls’ and boys’ teams came out on top on their home court over the Lady Hornets and Hornets.
