On Tuesday night, Knox City hosted Aspermont in a 4-game night of district competition. The JV Girls team began the evening with a 4210 loss against the JV Lady Hornets. Knox City freshman Naveah Martinez led in scoring for the Houndettes, scoring 5.

Moguls top Mustangs in district matchup

On Friday, January 6, 2023 the Benjamin Mustangs and Lady Stangs made the short trip to Munday to face the Moguls and Mogulettes in a District 16-A matchup. In the Varsity Girls’ game, the Lady Stangs picked up a district win against the Mogulettes 49-29. Post-game stats were not provided.

Greyhounds remain undefeated in district play

The Knox City Greyhounds were on the road Friday night as they traveled to Roby to continue district play. After trailing the first three quarters of the game, the Greyhounds kicked it into gear in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Lions 22-11 in the last eight minutes of the game.

To follow suit after an undefeated football season, the Benjamin Mustangs are 7-0, 2-0 in district play and were named the May Tournament Champions over the Christmas break. On Tuesday, December 20, the Mustangs traveled to Harrold where they put up 110 points against the district opponent.

Greyhounds, Houndettes win at Lueders-Avoca

To close the Christmas Break, the Greyhounds and Houndettes traveled to Lueders- Avoca to take on district opponents, the Raiders and Lady Raiders, on December 30, 2022. In the Varsity Girls game, the Houndettes came out on top outscoring the Lady Raiders 67-8.
