Menus for week of April 17-21 Monday: Chef ’s salad, pasta salad, crackers, yogurt. Tuesday: Smoked sausage, red beans, fried okra, cornbread, dessert. Wednesday: Chicken patty on a bun, lettuce, tomato, French fries, chuck wagon beans, fresh fruit.

KNOX COUNTY –The number of people who die from diseases such as polio and smallpox has dropped dramatically over the past century, thanks to the development of immunizations.Today, vaccines protect families and communities from a large number of potentially dangerous diseases.

Greyhounds complete Triple Crown

The Knox City Greyhounds have had an abundance of success this year. In the fall they were named District Champions in football, early this spring they were named Co-District Champions in basketball, and now they have earned the DIstrict Track and Field Champion title.

Easter Bunny flies into Knox City

KNOX CITY – The Easter Bunny flew into Knox City the day before Easter last Saturday Apr.8 to deliver eggs for area youngsters.

Renovated county jail opens

MUNDAY – The Munday City County Library recently received a generous grant of $54,499 from the Priddy Foundation of Wichita Falls that has allowed many upgrades.

Congressional Art Competition announced

AMARILLO — The Office of Congressman Ronny Jackson (TX-13) announced it is now accepting submissions for the 2023 Congressional Art Competition. All high school students in Texas’ 13th Congressional District are invited to participate.

Parenting classes begin Sunday April 16

MUNDAY – A friendly reminder - Parenting the Love and Logic Way classes begin this Sunday Apr. 16 at 2:00 p.m. at 211 Main St. in Munday. The classes will consist of six sessions, two hours each, on Sundays at 2 p.m. on Apr. 16, 23, 30, and May 7, 21, and 28.
