Jail renovations nearing completion

Body BENJAMIN – Sheriff Bridger Bush reported to the Commissioner’s Court on Dec. 12 that renovation of the county jail facility is nearing completion after extensive work. “We’re almost there,” said Sheriff Bush. “We’re so close to opening we can taste it.

Solar project tax abatement approved

Body BENJAMIN – The County Commissioners met in regular session on Dec. 12 and first on the agenda was considering the Tax Abatement Agreement with ZSS Power.

November rainfall over average

Body KNOX COUNTY – Brandon Carr, Manager at the USDA-NRCS James E. “Bud” Smith Plant Materials Center reported 1.61” of rain in November this year. Last year only 0.51” was received. “The average is 1.29” so this November was slightly above average,” said Carr.

Christmas Cantata

Body MUNDAY – The talented Community Choir directed by Sandy King performed the “Good News from Home” program at the Baptist Church in Munday on Dec. 11 to inspire and remind all of the true meaning of Christmas, to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Bro.
