Knox County Methodist stands with central Texas: flood buckets prepared to deliver for relief efforts

Body Due to intermittent rain throughout last Thursday, Knox City’s fourth annual Third of July Festival made a real splash this year.But despite the inclement weather, the community’s patriotic spirit, colorful booths, and lively entertainment continued in full swing.

Greyhounds set to play in 22nd Gridiron Classic

Body Jayton-Girard ISD in Jayton (Kent County), host since 2003 of the annual Gridiron Classic pre-season six-man football showcase, has announced the lineup of teams for the Aug. 28–30 event this year. Knox City is slated to play Cherokee Saturday, Aug. 30, at 12:30 p.m.

Body The Munday City County Library Summer Reading program has begun. The theme this year is “Game On!”. The book they read was “The Worst Summer Book in the History of the World” by Joey Acker. They went over the reading rules for the program.
