Flash flooding in Knox City impedes traffic

Body Several roadways in Knox City were flooded following a thunderstorm on Friday evening, June 27.The city saw around an inch and a half of rain in a very short amount of time, causing much of the water to be “run-off”, accumulating in low areas including roadways and intersections.

Body Colin Howeth of Knox City–O’Brien CISD has been named the 2025 Region 9 Superintendent of the Year. Howeth has served Knox City faithfully for 25 years, seven of those years as superintendent.Howeth graduated high school at Paint Creek, just outside of Haskell.
