On Aug. 8, 2023 in Knox County, Cezar Leo Lopez pled guilty to intentionally injuring his infant child. He accepted a plea offer for 20 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for Injury to a Child. Lopez will have to serve half of his sentence in TDCJ before he is even eligible for parole due to the nature of the crime.
