Philip Holbrook was born Nov. 11, 1952, to Arthur A. Smith, Jr. and Lucille Neff Smith. Philip grew up in Munday. In 1972 Philip married Donna Sue Cypert, also from Munday. This union was blessed with two sons, Philip Shane Smith and Kyle Holbrook Smith. Philip Shane and wife Dana had his first grandchild Ayden Philip Smith. Kyle and wife Teresa added two more grandchildren, Owen Thompson and Kylee Kathryn Smith. In 1990 Philip Holbrook married Denise Buchmeyer. This union was blessed with daughter Lorin Nicole Smith. Her marriage to Hayden Ostinelli increased the grandchildren to five, with the addition of two more granddaughters Clara Lucille and Madelyn Joyce Ostinelli.
Philip Holbrook was a hard worker starting his adult life with his dad on the family farm. An entrepreneur at heart he moved on to other trades and occupations. Heworkedmany years in the oil business, long haul trucking, and eventually owned an automotive repair shop. He ended his career retiring from roofing and construction with a successful company he started, A Pro Top Construction. He was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed deer hunting. He spent as much time as possible with friends and family at his deer camp, with many memories of good times.
Philip is survived by sons Philip, Kyle; daughter Lorin; five grandchildren; daughters in law Dana, Teresa; son in law Hayden; brothers Art Smith and wife Danna, Pat Smith; sister Elizabeth Valencia and husband Joe; nephew Joey Valencia; niece Angela Valencia.
