Andrea Kaylan (Urbanczyk) Carter

(known as “Sissy” to her family) passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026. She was born January 11, 1996, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Kent and Sheila (Estes) Urbanczyk.

Kaylan was raised in Goree, Texas, and attended school in Munday. She was a 2014 honor graduate of Munday High School, where she excelled in cheerleading, volleyball, basketball and track. She then attended Midwestern State University and was a 2019 inductee into the Texas XI Chapter of Lambda NU. She graduated cum laude from MSU in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in radiologic technology.

Kaylan married Zachary Carter on November 20, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rhineland, Texas. She was employed by Seymour Hospital, where she took great pride in her work.

Kaylan’s personality was vibrant, and she was full of love and laughter. She will be remembered by her sass, humor, determination and strong will. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Louis and Margaret Urbanczyk and her beloved cat, Cleo. Kaylan is survived by her husband, Zach, and their daughter, Andi, of the home; parents Kent and Sheila Urbanczyk of Goree; her brother Kyler Urbanczyk and wife, Shelby, of Seymour; grandparents Donnie and Candy Estes of Hefner; and also five nieces, four nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who are left to cherish her memory.

A rosary/visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, also at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kaylan’s memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
