On Sept. 7, 2023, Ethel E Birkenfeld, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, slipped her earthly bonds and passed into her eternal home after a brief illness. She was 99 years old, but when asked, she would tell you she was 94. If you corrected her, telling her she was 99, she would laughingly ask “Well, how did that happen?”
