Debra Graf, 1965-2024

Debra Graf, 58 of Vernon, passed away on Monday, Jan. 8,2024, in Vernon.

A mass will be held Monday, Jan. 15,2024, at 10 a.m. at Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church with Father Phil Petta officiating.

Debra was born April 10, 1965, in Seymour. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Birkenfeld and the late Ethel Stengel Birkenfeld. She married Ricky Graf Nov. 18,1989, in Rhineland. Debra graduated from Vernon Regional Junior College and she received her bachelor’s degree in business from Midwestern State University. She retired from the accounting department at North Texas State Hospital. She was a referee for high school volleyball games for many years. She was a member of the Vernon Jaycees and member of Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church.

Debra is survived by her husband Ricky Graf of the home; daughters Hannah Edwards of Graham, Emily Graf of Fort Worth; brothers David Birkenfeld and wife Connie, Johnny Birkenfeld and wife Nancy; sisters Marsha Scott, Sylvia St. Clair and husband Don, Janet Eavenson; grandson Austin Edwards; numerous nieces and nephews.

Debra was preceded in death by her brother Wayne Birkenfeld.

Memorials can be made to Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church and Vernon College.
