Edmund Casillas, Jr.

Edmund Casillas Jr, 68, a longtime resident of Knox City, passed away Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022. A funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, at Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Knox City, with Father Francis Chinthamalla officiating. Burial services followed at the Knox City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Edmund was born April 26, 1954 in Knox City, to Pauline (Everett) and Edmund Casillas, Sr. He liked fishing, barbecuing, dancing and listening to music. He loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sons Edmund Ray Casillas and Paul Philip Casillas; daughter Laurie Casillas; granddaughters Destiny Casillas, Addison Hill; five sisters Gloria Vasquez, Nita Casillas, Phyllis Molina, Maxine Hasten, Janie Casillas; two brothers Gilbert Casillas Sr, Tony Casillas, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Pauline and Edmund Casillas, Sr; wife Yolanda Casillas; sister Maggie Sauceda; and brothers George Manuel Casillas and Ray Casillas.
