On Sept. 18, 2022, the Lord Jesus called a new cowboy home to help tend to his heavenly herd. He looked for just the right Cowboy for the job and recruited Jaden Smart to come on to his heavenly home.

Jaden Smart was born Sept. 25, 2002, just minutes before his twin sister Jacey.

Jaden spent the early years of his life watching rodeos and old westerns with his granddads, eating way too many pancakes made by his grandmothers, fishing with his dad, riding bikes and showing off for his mom, playing football with his brothers, pestering his sisters, and dreaming military dreams.

As his life continued, and as his family and world grew, Jaden solidified some of the best friends a man could ask for, became the most doting big brother, became a contender in Texas State Cross Country for two years, and was the goofiest, sweetest, most charming teenage kid one could image.

During these years, Jaden started living his dream and began to “Cowboy up”. When he wasn’t on the football field, baseball diamond, track or in the classroom or he took any job he could, on any ranch; birthing calves, banding, doctoring, and rode ranch broncs in various rodeos.

Jaden was never afraid of hard work or getting dirty. He could exchange his cowboy hat with a hard hat in an instant. He was just as proud to climb up on a bronc as he was to climb the derrick of an oil rig.

One of the ultimate climaxes of Jaden’s life came at the 2020 Texas Cowboy Reunion, when he mounted a Bronc and made a heck of a ride.

Jaden’s legacy is that of silly jokes, goofy antics, loving family, amazing friends, too many stories to tell, and ultimately, a faith in God that was unshakeable.

The Army of God is even more powerful today, now that he has joined the Heavenly Calvary.

Jaden is survived by his mother Kayla Dalane Jarrett of Sweetwater; father and stepmother Jason and Tamara Smart of Rochester; six siblings Mason and wife Amara, twin sister Jacelin Smart, Justus, Jaqx, JettJett and Journey Smart of Rochester; grandmother Sandra Hilley of Sweetwater; grandparents Sid and Karen Smart of Rochester; Aunts and Uncles including Shellie and husband “Uncle Nanny” (Michael) Glass of Sweetwater, “Aunt Wanny” ( Jwan) and husband Jason Pollock of Sweetwater, Jennifer Smart of San Francisco, CA; and “Uncle Bub” (Clinton Mc-Vay) of Sweetwater. Jaden also left a barrage of cousins and friends to remember his time on this earth in the most amazing of JADEN SMART

ways.
