Patsy Ruth Arledge went to be with the Lord on Sept. 21, 2022, at the age of 88.

Pat was born to Carl and Lenora Wallace on Aug. 26, 1934, in Munday. She grew up on a farm during the Great Depression. She used to say, “everyone was poor, but we were the poorest of the poor.” She spent her childhood picking cotton and helping to take care of her sisters. In 1963, Pat met Jack Arledge, a match truly made in Heaven. They were best friends who loved being together, from the ordinary events of daily life to their travels around the world. The two were married fifty- five years. They worked together to raise four children, Roger, Jane, Wade and Larry.

Our mother was a kind, caring, and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. Pat was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Pat was a loyal servant to God, first and foremost. She loved the church and loved sharing the love and warmth of our savior, Jesus Christ, with as many people as possible. Pat was an avid member of the Church of Christ her entire life.

Pat joins her husband Jack, her two older sisters, Carolyn Reeves and Betty Polk, and her younger sister and best friend Fonda Crawford in Heaven.

She is survived by many loving family members; children Roger Webb and wife Missy of Sweetwater, Jane Ray and husband Doug of Knox City, Wade Arledge of New Braunfels, and Larry Arledge and wife Rhonda of San Angelo; she is also survived by four grandchildren Jeff Webb of Midland, Greg Webb and wife Rosie of San Angelo, Lindsey Haire and husband Eric of San Angelo, and Katie Harper and husband Jay of Goldsby, OK. She has eight great-granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation was held at Elmwood Funeral Home in Abilene, in the chapel on Tuesday, Sept 27, 2022. The funeral service followed in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charitable organization.
