Severiano Hernandez

Severiano L. Hernandez, a longtime resident of Knox City, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022. A graveside service was held Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, at the Knox City Cemetery with Father Francis Chinthamalla officiating, under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Severiano was born Feb. 21, 1960, in Rayon, San Luis Potośi, Mexico to Norberta (Leredo) and Florenico Hernandez. He married Paula May 10, 1992, in Knox City. He was a hard worker, he liked to fish and spend time with family and friends. He liked to fix up cars. Chevey was a caring man and he loved his family very much. People thought kindly of him. His loving wife Paula was by his side through it all, she will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his wife Paula; sons Jeffery Hernandez and wife Shavonne, Severiano Hernandez, Jr.; grandchildren Klarisa, Anthony, and Devon Hernandez; sisters Yolanda Hernandez, Minga Hernandez, Goya Arvizu, and Mini Hernandez; also, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Norberta and Florencio Hernandez; brothers Lalo, Neto, Mario; and sister Juana.
