Moguls strike out Northside for key district win

Body The Munday Moguls baseball team picked up a big-league win over Vernon Northside April 18, defeating the Indians 15-3.A nine-run third inning gave the Moguls the boost they needed en route to the run-rule win.Pitcher Haiden Bowman went the distance in the five-inning game.

Body DISTRICT TRACK Last week, Benjamin hosted the district track meet. Track and field athletes from Benjamin, Knox City and Munday competed at the event. The Knox City varsity boys track team was the district runners-up and the varsity girls track team finished as the 4th place team.

Win over Northside gives Munday district championship

Body The softball season that began two months ago during the February cold is now replaced by the heat of Texas high school playoffs, and the Munday Mogulettes are hoping their bats stay fired up as postseason play gets underway.
