Knox City softball gets back on winning track

Body It had been a tough two weeks for the Knox City Houndettes, after dropping consecutive district games to Northside, 18-7, and Munday, 22-6. But Coach Ricky Villanueva rallied his team March 30 to a much-needed district win over Harrold, taking down the Hornets, 23-10.

Body A $46.4 million Super- 2 project is scheduled to begin March 30, 2026, on U.S. Highway 83 in Cottle and King counties. The work will stretch from FM 1038 in Paducah south to the Stonewall County line, with Zack Burkett Co. serving as the general contractor. The project covers 43.
