Knox City teams win at Paint Creek

Body On Monday, January 16, 2023, the O’Brien Middle School basketball teams traveled to Paint Creek to take on their district opponent. In the Junior High Girls game, the Lady Bulldogs fell to the Lady Pirates 14-26.

Benjamin Mustangs, Lady Stangs win over Harrold

Body In a night of basketball on Monday, January 23, 2023 at “The Box”, the Benjamin Lady Stangs and Mustangs battled district opponent Harrold. Both the girls’ and boys’ teams came out on top on their home court over the Lady Hornets and Hornets.

Body On Friday, January 13, 2023, the Munday Moguls hosted the Harold Hornets in a District 16-A matchup. The Moguls continued their district winning streak and defeated the Hornets 87-26.

Body On Tuesday night, Knox City hosted Aspermont in a 4-game night of district competition. The JV Girls team began the evening with a 4210 loss against the JV Lady Hornets. Knox City freshman Naveah Martinez led in scoring for the Houndettes, scoring 5.

Moguls top Mustangs in district matchup

Body On Friday, January 6, 2023 the Benjamin Mustangs and Lady Stangs made the short trip to Munday to face the Moguls and Mogulettes in a District 16-A matchup. In the Varsity Girls’ game, the Lady Stangs picked up a district win against the Mogulettes 49-29.

Body The Knox City Greyhounds were on the road Friday night as they traveled to Roby to continue district play.

Body To follow suit after an undefeated football season, the Benjamin Mustangs are 7-0, 2-0 in district play and were named the May Tournament Champions over the Christmas break.
