Houndettes fall to Rankin

Body The Knox City Houndettes ended their volleyball season on Saturday, November 5th as they took on the Rankin Lady Devils in the Area Championship at Colorado City. The Houndettes played a hardfought match, but came up short in four sets (1225, 25-22, 25-14, 25-18).

Greyhounds top Valley

Body In their second District matchup of the season, the Knox City Greyhounds topped the Valley Patriots 5018, bringing the Greyhounds to 2-0 in District play. In the first quarter, Valley put the first points of the game up on the scoreboard with a 41-yard run.

Body The Munday Mogulettes, who finished third in their district behind Benjamin and Paducah, saw their season come to an end on Tuesday night in Archer City, as they fell to a loaded Harrold team in three straight sets, 25-22, 25-11, 25-15. The Mogulettes finished their season 16-13.

Houndettes win in Strawn

Body The Knox City Houndettes picked up a big win on the road at Strawn on Friday, October 21st. After dropping the first two sets (12-25, 16-25), we played three of our best sets this season to come back and win the match in five sets (12-25, 16-25, 25-13, 25-20, 15-9).

Lady Stangs district 9-A champions

Body The Junior High Lady Stangs ended their season with a thrilling game against Crowell on Tuesday night. They split sets and then came out and won the third set. Coach Propps said,“It was really the first time all year they had been challenged and it was a great lesson to learn.

Bowman, Morrow duo qualify for state meet

Body Teams from Knox City and Munday competed in the Region 2-A Cross Country Meet at Angelo State University on October 25, 2022, where three athletes from the county qualified to run in Round Rock on Saturday, November 5th.

Body The Knox City Houndettes have completed district play as of Tuesday, October 18, 2022. The Houndettes end their district play with a record of 1517, 2-2. They defeated Rotan on Tuesday, October 18th to earn the District 8A Runner Up Title.

Lady Stangs complete first round of district play

Body The Benjamin Lady Stangs ended their first round of district play 3-0, after beating Paducah, Munday and Crowell. The Lady Stangs hosted Munday at The Box on Tuesday, October 11, with three games, junior high, JV and Varsity.
