Philomae Roberson

Eva Philomae Feemster Roberson, 95, passed away July 9, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Benjamin Baptist Church. A long-time family friend Pastor Riley Carver will be conducting the service. Linda Griffith, another friend, will be the pianist.

Sister Andrea Loran, age 96, a member of St. Scholastica Monastery, died July 13, 2023, at Chapel Ridge Health & Rehab in Fort Smith, AR. Sister Andrea was born Aug. 26, 1926, in Rhineland, to Liberatus and Bertha Strubel Loran, and she was named Helen.

Harry Steen

Harry Edward Steen, Jr, age 63, passed away on June 19, 2023, at the Haskell Memorial Hospital, after a brief battle with cancer. Harry was born Sept. 4, 1959, in Albuquerque, NM, to Mary Lou and Harry Steen Sr. Harry attended Eastwood High School.

Jo Nell Cornett, age 97 of Knox City passed away on June 13, 2023. She was a long-time resident of Knox County and farmed with her husband Clifford Holly Cornett in Knox, and Haskell Counties continuously since 1946.

Sarah Frances Reed Sharp was born in Knox City on Feb. 10, 1933 to John Luther and Mary Catherine Stanford Reed. She stepped into her heavenly home on Monday, June 5, 2023.

Ronald Seth Coody was born Oct. 24, 1938 in Midland. He passed away April 16, 2023 in Coppell after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Ottie Faye Coody; siblings Walter Paul Coody, Margie Herring, Donnie Coody, and G.H. “Pete” Coody.

Jimmy Burl Morgan has gone to be with his Lord and Saviour. He passed away on Good Friday, April 7, 2023, at the accomplished age of 87 surrounded by family. He left behind a legacy of love, kindness and service to his community that will be remembered for years to come.
